After some 24 years in the Parish, and 22 years serving the St. Aidan Community as Deacon, it was with a lot of emotion, and a few tears, that we left to join the pastoral team at St. John’s in Newmarket. The parish hosted a farewell party, and I was humbled by how many of our parishioners came, and the kind things that were said. It was wonderful to have most of my family there as well (only Luke who is in Regina was unable to attend).
St. Aidan is an incredibly rich parish in its diversity, its wonderful range of spiritualities, the activities of its many ministries, and the dedication of its parishioners. It has been my joy to have been able to serve alongside so many faith-filled Catholics, living out God’s unique calling in each of them. St. Aidans will always have a very special place in my heart, and I will continue to remember you all in my prayers. And to pop in every once in a while to visit !
